Marcus Wainwright and David Neville are subtly making a departure from single pattern color blocking into sophisticated color choices mixed with unexpected patterns. They have the ability to mix colors and patterns subtly without tiring the eye and making their on-the-go woman look contrived.
Brown and black has evolved into a more sophisticated copper and black. Coats are paneled with chocolate leather and dresses are carefully styled over trousers. Short barely there gloves are paired with long sleeves to show a little skin and to leave more to be desired. Long knit dresses are worn over sweaters and textures are layered upon textures. The Rag & Bone show has elevated the classic ready-to-wear aesthetic these two designers bring to New York and have transitioned into a more boho style. Apart from the carefully constructed silhouettes, the collection accentuates accessories giving the viewers gloves, boots, stockings, scarves, thick copper belts and fur collars to lust after.
Here are my favorite looks to savor.
